Belsatff lauches new outerwear collaboration with gore-tex

Belstaff is proud to partner with Gore-Tex again on a range of polished, precision-engineered outerwear for AW21. The collection of two new jackets delivers on quality, functional integrity and style, combining Belstaff’s singular design language with Gore-Tex’s best-in-class technical materials.

Gore-Tex has been at the forefront of material innovation for decades, developing fabrics purpose-built for the real world. Belstaff and Gore-tex first partnered on a collection for British mountaineer and explorer Sir Chris Bonington in the 1970’s before launching a commercial range of waterproof cagoules and outerwear. Today Gore-Tex is leading the charge on making significant changes to the way we manufacture and consume clothing. The business is on course to become carbon neutral by 2050, and has ambitious social and environmental plans in place to protect both people and planet. Belstaff’s own Sustainable By Design philosophy is driven by the belief that clothing should serve you time and time again, and this partnership for AW21 is the ideal next step in Belstaff’s sustainability journey.

The two core jackets in the line utilise Gore Performance Technology and are cut from a stress-tested three-layer fabrication that’s waterproof, windproof and breathable, as well as lightweight. The fabric features a recycled polyester face and tricot backer for optimum durability and comfort, and can be seen in the Terrain Master Parka – a modern update on a fishtail shell parka, with a raglan construction and Belstaff’s signature four-pocket silhouette. The second piece in the collection is the Techmaster Jacket, a performance shell evolution of Belstaff’s iconic Trialmaster jacket with the signature throat-latch closure and angled map pocket. The Techmaster is available in Black, Dark Ink or an earthy Salvia tone – a key colourway in the AW21 collection.

Both pieces feature AquaGuard zips, taped seams and snap-closure storm plackets for extra protection, and these masterfully crafted innovations have been rigorously put to the test at the Gore-Tex lab facility in the Rain Room (a severe rain simulator), the Storm Cube (where winds reach up to 50mph) and during the Cold Flex Test (a squashing and stretching process carried out at extreme temperatures). The additional Martindale Test involves rubbing the fabric with textured materials and considerable pressure to replicate the activities for which the product is intended to support.

The Belstaff X Gore-Tex collaboration will be available to shop online and in stores from 1st September.
