“Well made, strong, reliable,” is Bill’s summation of the collection. This limited edition collection fuses simple design, rigorous attention to detail and timeless craftsmanship.
The collaboration introduces a selection of small leather accessories, each made from a single piece of vegetable tan leather and belts, available in classic and seasonal colours. The hero of the collaboration is the reintroduction of the Mulder Bag.
Belstaff, has been outfitting pioneering icons for close to a century, and now, with Bill Amberg there is a marriage with sporting heritage, beautiful craftsmanship and forward-facing design in a rediscovery of the Mulder bag – made for adventurous spirits past, present and future. First issued in 2008, made from motorcycle leathers, the reintroduction with Belstaff celebrates Eddie’s pioneering spirit.
Eddie Mulder in his iconic Motorcycle Suit
From the 1960’s Eddie Mulder took the racing world by storm, before turning to stunt riding, where he doubled for Clint Eastwood, Peter Fonda and Evel Knievel. Never one to paint by numbers, Eddie was one of the first riders to experiment with bold attention grabbing motorcycle suits.
Inspired by the colourful career of Eddie Mulder, crafted from supple nappa leather, the bag has the capacity to store leathers, a helmet and kit. The eye-catching creative detail, with lively colour combinations and decorative leather flower motifs represent past racing suits of Mulder. Available in racing red, white and blue or dark brown, black and navy.
Cedar Card Case and Spruce Glasses Case
Simplicity is at the heart of these pieces, crafted from a single piece of tanned leather. The hand-waxed edging and an antique brass pin fastening are clean and classic. The glasses case provides a practical stud fastening. All available in red, black, dark brown or navy made with all British materials in Bill’s London workshop. The collaboration logo is embossed on each piece.
The clean, simple design of the unisex belts makes for an enduring style, available with an unfinished brass buckle, which will develop a unique patina over time. Additional detailing includes the engraved collaboration logo.
The collection is now available in Belstaff stores and online, prices from £85/ €95/ $115.
